THE WRITING'S ON THE WALL
projecting signatures on congress' wall to fight cyberbullying
Challenge: Only 14 states in the U.S. have criminalized cyberbullying. This means that, in 36 states, statements are only punishable by law if they aredeemed a true threat, and proving a threat is very difficult.
We have to show the nation that if an offline statements have consequences, then online statements should have them as well. The writing’s on the wall: it’s time for change.
Solution: The idea was to produce a viral PSA that'd would showcase the reality of cyberbullying and would invite people to sign a petition for stricter laws against it. Signatures will be digitally projected on Congress' wall, making it impossible for congressmen to ignore.
